Sai Prema Foundation Fiji has successfully implemented a national food program by feeding the underprivileged and needy people of Fiji including institutions such as orphanages, disabled children schools, blind school, retirement homes etc. Grocery and food packs are distributed to underprivileged families with a specific target of ensuring that families with disabled individuals, single mothers, families with large numbers of children and families who have no source of income are fed. In 2019, over 30,000 meals were distributed. However, the deep impact of Covid-19 had left many families falling below the poverty line. In response to this global pandemic, Sai Prema Foundation had scaled up its efforts and is now distributing an average of 30,000 meals a month.
